Following up on conversations with Kay about how Drupal Ladder and Drupal Dojo could compliment. For those not aware, Drupal Dojo was an extremely successful and popular mentoring group for apprentice/journeyman developers who want to increase proficiency, and for experts looking to grow the pool of Drupal talent. It grew exponentially from 2007-2012, but became difficult to sustain as an all-volunteer project.

Lack of awareness and new leadership over the past few years has kept the group stagnant, but it's perfectly well suited for projects like Drupal Ladder to reach a wide range of contributors and collaborators. Out of the box, Drupal Dojo could provide the following -

- Drupal Dojo group - create virtual and in-person contribution events alongside 3282 members ranging from mentors, experts, and newcomers
- Drupal Dojo collective - collect and distribute sponsor/backer funds to contributors
- #drupal-dojo channel on Drupal Slack - collaboration channel for mentoring and Drupal Ladder contribution events
- Drupal Dojo Twitter - promote Drupal Ladder contribution events
- Drupal Dojo website (Open Social powered site still under development) sponsored by Pantheon - regional groups can create, promote, and sustain contribution events

Drupal Ladder could be a primary driver for increasing contributions. Drupal Dojo can provide tools, a good bit of reach and room to grow.
