I have D7.15 with DrupalChat 7.x-1.0-beta6
When I have Drupalchat Enabled, normal Javascript (Jquery) code, on the page.tpl.php fails on several spots. Simple things like (this).css("display","none") will not work or even simple variable assignments (var value = $(this).val();)
If I turn DrupalChat off, everything works fine again.
I get JS errors like : "$ ... is not a valid function" on normale code described above.

darklrd commentedHi Nehbur,
Which polling method are you using? Thanks.

Nehbur commentedHey Darklrd, i'm using the IFlyChat polling method, so it's running via their server.

Nehbur commentedFixed for now by darklrd.
If your Jquery (javascript) code fails when using DrupalChat, replace the $ by jQuery for all your Jquery code. It'll solve the problem. Darklrd is going to provide a fix in his next version so that the DrupalChat doesn't hijack the $ sign in the future.

brokenspokeshane commentedHi Nehbur,
Good work digging into this!
Two questions if you don't mind
- In which files are you replacing the "$" by jQuery?
- If it is not too much trouble could you please post an example of what you replaced the "$" with?
Thank you!

darklrd commentedbrokenspokeshane,
Now you don't need to do this replacement. It should work fine even without this in D7.
Thanks

dynecurb commentedHi darklrd,
We are experiencing an issue with Drupalchat conflicting with PageTheme module (D6). This post seemed to be the best match for the issue that we are experiencing. When DrupalChat is enabled, PageTheme no longer works. If DrupalChat is disabled, PageTheme operates as it should displaying the correct themes for select nodes. Is this a javascript conflict issue? If not, do you have any ideas on why the conflict is occuring?
Thanks

darklrd commentedHi dynecurb,
Please create a new thread for D6 specifying the module version and polling method being used.
Thanks
