When doing an update, I came to the attached update screen where I had nowhere to go. I expect to have some sort of "OK, carry on" button, but there's nothing. I'm in the middle of an update, and I'm kind of no idea how to escape!

What "links below the status message"? There is no link that allows the update to run. I installed new modules. How can they work without updating the database?

Did you ever get past this problem, miasmo? I'm stuck on the same thing on my first Drupal 7 upgrade (from 7.15 to 7.16.)
