Hi there!
Firstly, I hope that I am posting this question in the right section. If not, sorry about that, please let me know where to post this question.
So I've been using Drupal off and on for the past 5 years, based on whether the website I'm working on is using Drupal or not.
Recently, I got a Drupal website that is SUPER HUGE! I mean, for me atleast... it has at least 40+ modules... (including one premium module)
I am having a hard time navigating the site. I installed the site documentation module to help but it did not help... The previous web person they hired created no documentation for the Drupal install and I feel stuck.
What is the best way to break down a Drupal site? If I were to start building it from scratch how would I go about it in order to learn how this site operates... There are some modules in there I have never even heard of.
I have started to do a local install and get each module and install it... but I want to know if this is best practice, or if there was a more efficient way to learn about this site. I can't provide the link as it is on a local machine at work till it gets completed.
Any insight would be so much appreciated right now!!!

jhodgdonNo, this is not the right place to post this question. This is an issue queue for Drupal, which is a place to report bugs. The "support request" category on issues is mostly for contributed modules (i.e. to ask support questions about how to use a particular contributed module), not for the core of Drupal.
If you need support for Drupal, please click on "Community and Support" in the top or bottom navigation on drupal.org, and post your question in IRC or in the support forums.
