If I create new content type and define new field with name field_x, then delete content type, field_x cannot be selected from existing fields dropdown, but exists (if I try to create new field with that name, error is throws; also table exists in database).
Tested on clean 7.x-dev installation.

Hope this is not a duplicate, I can't find similar issue entry.

Actually, dupe of #838022: Deleting a content type leaves orphaned fields :-)
