At least on http://api.drupal.org/api/function/theme_item_list the code looks fine.

Forget it... It seems to be a really strange bug from my IDE (Adobe Dreamweaver CS4) which doesn't display the "/" character in that line, causing troubles only if I alter the core file "includes/theme.inc" (not a good idea I know, it was just for testing)... I discovered it when I used a simple text editor on the same file. Sorry ! :P
