Sorry if I'm mistaken but there is no way acc. to me to mark a module defined block as accessible by only authenticated users from code. I feel it should be added somehow!!

Im just going over some old core issues and trying to close them.

I am in Drupal 7.22 and when I configure a block, even one created by a module, the 4 standard 'visibility' configurations are available (Pages, Content Types, Roles, Users). It sounds like this feature exists already.
