Forgive me if I am reporting this in the wrong place. I am a relative newbie.
We had a need to create a couple of custom date formats.
(Under Administer - Site Configuration - Date and Time - Formats - Add Format)
We wanted to add the two formats m/d/y and m/d/Y which would display as 09/07/10 and 09/07/2010 respectively.
I created the first custom format (m/d/y) with no problems but when I tried to create the second custom format (m/d/Y) I received the error
user warning: Duplicate entry 'm/d/Y-custom' for key 2 query: INSERT INTO date_format (format, type, locked) VALUES ('m/d/Y', 'custom', 0) in /home/texasdio/public_html/includes/common.inc on line 3422.
I can only assume this is because the format field is not case sensitive.

dddave commentedThis is working fine for me in 6.19. Both formats were accepted. Perhaps it was your old version or something else is interfering.
