I enabled the Blog module and set permissions. Eventually, the client decided not to use it. I disabled the module.
Now, when I click on the "Create content" link, I get the following error message:
Fatal error: Unsupported operand types in (domain-name)/includes/common.inc on line 1596
Re-enabling the Blog module did not help. If I type "node/add/story" at the end of the URL, I can add an instance of that content type, and I can see the other valid content types under the "Create content" link in the menu. The "Blog entry" type is still in the list of valid types. I can click on the other types and add content, but when I click on "Blog entry," I get the above error message.
I also get this error message if I try to edit the Navigation menu from the Menu module.
I think this needs to be fixed soon. What a mess!

RonB commentedI went into the database and table "menu_links" using PHPMyAdmin. I found a record with a "router_path" of "node/add/blog"
I deleted that record using PHPMyAdmin, and the Fatal Error is gone.
The Blog module needs to clean itself up properly when it's disabled.
I hope this info is helpful to the developers. The problem is repeatable. By the way, when I disabled the Blog module, no blog entries had been created yet. I don't know if that makes a difference.

RonB commentedI tried to repeat the process after adding a Blog Entry. The Fatal Error does not recur once I have added a Blog Entry even if I delete the entry before disabling the Blog module.
I hope this info helps the developers zero-in on the problem.

Just to be sure we're all singing from the same songsheet (=we're all looking at the same piece of code), can you:

drupalshrek commentedI'd be happy if I could reproduce this, but can't.
Please reopen if you can provide more info which helps others to reproduce.
