Sorry for the random question, but I was having some strange permission problems with a D6 site, and while poking around in the database for clues, I noticed two things:

1. The pid value for each row was *very* high -- like 173242, for example.
2. These values seem to be climbing fairly steadily -- even though no changes are being made at /admin/user/permissions

So I'm partly just curious, and partly concerned that something is churning out of control on this site. Does this table rebuild -- and re-increment the pid field -- every time cron runs, perhaps?
