I've just installed drupal 4.7b6 in a subdirectory 2 down from htdocs.
The action url of the user registration form points to the base directory WITHOUT the subdirectories (so naturally fails), i.e. https://www.xyz.co.uk/?q=user/register, instead of https://www.xyz.co.uk/sub1/sub2/?q=user/register. All the other links on the page are correct. The base url is https not http.
I've searched through user.module and found the user_register function which generates the form, but I don't know how to change the submit url. I couldn't find the answer in the forms api docs...

claus2080 commentedyou have to edit your .htaccess in the subdirectory which is root to your site. it's not a bug. look for baseurl in .htaccess
