Hi Guys,
I'm relatively new to drupal but i've been having a great time with it and have made an accomplished website utilising a vast range of modules. However, I am having a big problem when i try to activate new ones.
The initial problem was that the admin - modules page wouldnt even load (just blank white screen). I found this issue elsewhere as drupal trying to rebuild it's system every time so i put a bit of code into the settings that cut down the number of requests and allowed the page to load. This worked fine for a few days but now a new problem persists for which i desperately need help with!
Basically, when i've ticked the checkbox next to the module i want to install (i.e. this time it is ubercart), i click save and expect the confirmation page to come up. All that happens is i get a white page, nothing loads, nothing happens. I go back to module page, the box is unticked and i can try it as many times as i like and it just does nothing.
Is there an alternative way to activate modules or does anyone know how to fix this? Without it, I can't add new modules to my site. My PHP5.ini file is set to allow 92mgs of memory rather than 16 and i even tried increasing it to 128 with no effect (and i dont really want my hosting server to cancel my account).
Please please, any help would be fantastic! - All the best, ed!

eddycha commentedp.s. the code i used to fix the modules page (if it helps) was on this thread http://drupal.org/node/342020 and this was the initial problem i had.

I am closing this issue to clean up the issue queue. Feel free to reopen the issue if there is new information and the problem still resides. If not please make sure you close your issues that you don't need any more.
Maybe you can get support from the local user group. Please take a look at this list at groups.drupal.org.
