Hi,
I am working on a drupal project using 5.7 and integration with openfire 3.5.2/3.6.3.
Now, I have no idea how to integrate openfire user authentication with drupal user authentication.
The scenario is such that, when a user logs in drupal, drupal sends the user login/authentication info to the openfire, so that in openfire also the user get authenticated and set with status "Online". Just a kind of single sign on feature that works for drupal and openfire.
Can any one help me!
Thanks in advance.

phpat commentedHi,
did you get a response or got it working?
I'm trying/developing something similar currently.
User authentication against mysql custom user db works great following this guide: http://www.igniterealtime.org/builds/openfire/docs/latest/documentation/...
IM users can now log in with my php based community's user/pw using for example psi-im.org client.
Where I am stuck now is to "forward" session to openfire. Patching the login process to connect to openfire is easy and works, but sessions are not persistent - they time out while php sessions live on.
Maybe MSG http://technologies.kmi.open.ac.uk/msg/developer/msg-installation-guide/ can help here.
Bye,
PHPat
