In htaccess, call_time_pass_ref. On "killed" web site

With the following setting in htaccess, my web site had become a dead link. By uploading the former version of htaccess (with Off instead of On), my web site's link now works.

The present setting in htaccess :
php_value allow_call_time_pass_reference On

I believe my site is on a virtual hosting.
