convert remaining subclasses of GenericModuleTestBase to kernel tests, and deprecate GenericModuleTestBase

Problem/Motivation

In #3617556: convert GenericModuleTestBase (and empty child classes) to a kernel test we added a new kernel test base class GenericModuleTestBase.

We now need to convert the remaining subclasses of the Functional version of GenericModuleTestBase, and then deprecate the Functional version.

This issue might need to be a meta issue, depending on the complexity.
