[meeting] 2026-08-05 core mailer beta planning

Concerns discussed in the July meeting about the wrapper template branch of #3539651-68: Introduce email plugins have been addressed. A new iteration now removed features which aren’t strictly necessary and also concentrated code in the EmailManager. This part of the code is still more experimental than the rest of the merge request. But the new branch raises the confidence in the group that mail template and theme switching can be implemented on the basis of the plugin system approach.

The group decided to push the mail template and theme switching to a follow-up issue. The priority in August will be to finalize the plugin approach and get the plugin issue into a commitable state. This includes: Create the follow-up issue, update issue summary and change record, review and address all threads in the merge request.
