Try to enter the following raw code in a partial HTML input format with line break and paragraph detection. Then try to split the summary at the cursor just before or after the "January" header.

<style type="text/css">
<!--
.article table { margin: 0.5em auto 0 0; }
.article td { vertical-align: top; }
-->
</style>

<div class="article">

Years: <a href="/node/310">2007</a>, <strong>2008</strong>

The following list shows the improvements and administrative activities concerning the web and mail server. Only occasionally I list that I typically check for spam several times daily, remove spam, and block spamming users.

<h1>January</h1>

<table style="width: 100%">
<col style="width: 2em; vertical-align: top; text-align: right"><col style="vertical-align: top">

<tr><td>1.</td><td>Example text</td></tr>

</table>

</div>

The style sheet doesn't work in this input format, but that's another matter. Just ignore it for the purpose of this defect and let's do one defect at a time.

Duplicate of #225608: "Split summary at cursor" breaks at wrong spot. For the record, I could reproduce this in IE7 but not Firefox 2.
