Gauravvv Hi

1️⃣ Do you have suggested topics you are looking to discuss? Post in this thread and we’ll open threads for them as appropriate.

shelane What is the timeline for "adopt" a module to streamline maintainer additions for modules not updating?

2️⃣ Porting events, would they be helpful at this point or are people burned out?

Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) Raised by @Kristen Pol (she/her)
Björn Brala (bbrala) Activity has been relatively low at the moment I guess. So probably be a little more work to get people going.
Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) I think they were great to spread know-how, and I’ve seen people reference the docs produced ever since. 💙
Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) At this point the (lack of) engagement of the maintainers in question seem to be more of a bottleneck.
dww I plan to (finally) port some of my contribs to D10 compatibility in the next couple of weeks.  Personally, a porting event isn't needed, but I've been out of the loop for the last few months.  Sounds like y'all think it's not worth the effort to organize something.
VladimirAus We couldn't attract many people but were pretty productive ourselves. Two of us.Planning to continue at the same speed: ~10 modules a month.I found events are useful but I'd concentrate on recording videos on how to upgrade modules rather than trying to gather the crowd.
Gauravvv I am working on porting 2-3 themes to d10 this month and release 10.x-dev version. Not needed porting event.
Kristen Pol (she/her) Thanks everyone for the input… was my feeling as well… I know that personally I’m very distracted from porting things and contribution in general right now. But I might help trying to adopt a few modules clients need a D10 version for in the next month ish

3️⃣ What is the timeline to “adopt” a module to streamline maintainer additions for modules not updating?

Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) I think the regular two week wait time applies now.
Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) It will be somewhat expedited when Drupal 9 will go EOL and Drupal 9-only releases will be marked unsupported.
Björn Brala (bbrala) You shouldn't aim for that though, better to get the Ball rolling earlier
Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) Raised by @shelane btw
VladimirAus I developed "here's how to test" comment. This way people can use module without waiting for maintainer. Here's example. (edited)

berdir @VladimirAus you might want to include in those instructions that using the branch (or a patch directly from the MR) like that should only be done for local testing and not deployed as the MR branch/patch can be changed by anyone.

4️⃣ This meeting is over, but feel free to discuss in the threads. See you in two weeks!

Not sure if topics are supposed to be added to IS but…

wondering if we should plan on having more porting days… would they be helpful at this point? People may be burned out on this due to the big D10 push

Gábor Hojtsy credited dww.
