It appears that the HTML Filter strips off all style attributes. There is apparently no way to override this. Please allow us to override this behavior.

+1 the rest of the filter module is fine, i would rather allow certain tags and then futher allow styles on these tags

However, marking as duplicate of #205160: Allow more granular HTML filter options for HTML attributes, not just tags.
You can follow up on that issue to track its status instead. If any information from this issue is missing in the other issue, please make sure you provide it over there.
