I copied the Language Files of the german language to their directories and added German to the list of Languages. A progress bar appears but after one second it dissappers and there is only the message "An error occoured". There are no files importet an everything remains in english.
It's a fresh drupal 6.4 install running on apache 2.2.6 with php 5.2.5 and mysql 5.0.27.
The permission of the translation files should be okay. All Folders and Files have the same permissions as the other files.
After installing a new Module (weblinks) the po file of that module was importet automatically. So I deletet the German Language and tried to re add it and now the same error occoured again and nothing was importet.
Thanks

mdupontHas someone else had the same problem ? It was maybe only temporary.

ñull commentedThis problem seems temporal, but there are language problems that are not addressed, may be because they are not experienced by all foreign language users. In my case I have problems with Spanish. It is already the second site that I try to get "right", but I don't manage.
The Spanish imports OK, but when I set the user to that language it won't switch and all remains in the default language (English). The same problem occurs when you set Spanish as the default language, then setting the user to English will not show that language.
Somebody could analyse this problem or indicate what could be the cause and give me a work around? Any help is appreciated!
