how to convert taxonomy terms as links

Hi,

I am newbie in Drupal. I have the 6.3 version of drupal. I have a taxonomy with vocabulary name as "assignments" with 2 terms: "assignment 1" and "assignment 2". I have a bunch of image nodes that have one of the terms related to it. On my front page I can see all the image nodes individualy which I dont want. I want the terms to be as links on the front page and clicking on the link should display the nodes that are related to that term. How can I do this? This may be the simplest thing to do but since I am new to Drupal I need some help.
