If you look at the Drupal Sites page at http://www.drupal.org/node.php?id=3 you will see two entries which have bad IP addresses in their links (scroll to end of page). One of them is my site, theslip.net. It's link shows up as http://127.0.0.1. What determines the value of this HREF? It is clear that more than myself are confused by this.

Don't try fixing this on the "Drupal sites" page. Instead, we should make the protocol use two-way (bidirectional) handshake. I would like to see this fixed as soon as possible.

Title: drupal sites update via XML-RPC is unclear » drupal sites update via XML-RPC should be bidirectional
Component: Code » drupal.module

we haven't done bidirectional handshake yet, but the documentation on this topic is much clearer now. see links from the Drupal sites page.

Updating the title of this one for bidiretional handshake.
