Now, as of ATOM is a RFC standard it would be a useful feature if Drupal supported ATOM-Feeds, too. It was suggested to implement this at [1].

Sorry, but this will never make it into D6! We're in feature freeze for quite a long time...
Otherwise, this is a feature we should have in D7!
