I've just installed drupal on a new site, v 7.22, but something is wrong and I have no idea what to do...

When I try to add a new content type, everything looks to be going ok, the content type is listed as it should be under " structure ->Content types "
But when I go to " add new content ", it's not there - only the two default content types "Article" and "Basic page" are listed.

And a similar thing happens when I try to install additional modules, ie. views.
Installation is fine, but when I want to add a view, there is no listing of " views " under " structure "...

Any clues???

Is there any more info you need?

I've also noticed that when I've activated the core module "Locale" it doesn't give me the option choose language in the Regional and language section of configuration

I've deleted the first installation of drupal 7.22 on my site, and installed it again.
(First time instalation was via Softaculus, second time I did it manually)

This time I can add new content types, and they appear as they should in the add content area, and I've been able to add language, but I'm still not getting ant listings of additional modules under structure...
They are listed as installed and turned on in the logg

after deleting and re-installing several times it suddenly works as it should - didn't do anything different from the times it didn't work, so still no idea what was wrong
