Last weekend I upgraded from 4.1.0 to CVS version which was fine apart from had to make a few obvious updates to theme and couple of modules. Anyway a possible bug in the forum which you can only see if you use forum folders seems to have appeared. I will paste what the users said.

"I've noticed that in the main forum page (the list of forums*) these don't go red to indicate new messages any more. It works ok on the individual forum 'message index' pages. Using Opera 7.10 here but I'm sure it did work originally."

To make things clear little red folder icons show a new message, and yellow folders are use otherwise. This a bug?

I just checked and it works correctly in 4.2rc. Note that the main forum page never showed new _comments_, just new _topics_ (nodes). It would be possible to consider new comments too, but it would require some changes. Also consider there is a two minutes cache on the structure of that page, so it is possible your users saw an old page.
