In order to rename the "my account" menu link, modules/user.module must be modified.
I'm requesting that this menu item be editable within the administer->menus page.

That item being locked was necessary for some reason that I don't remember offhand and no new features are being added to 4.7.x anyway. No point in bumping this to 6 since the menu changes make this moot. So won't fixing it.
