If a search for a term containing non-ASCII characters (e.g., "vän"), the search module finds the term but does not highlight it as it does for terms in pure ASCII. I assume the highlight code does not consider character encoding/UTF-8?

Example:
Search for "vän" gives result:
Det trodde jag aldrig (eller jo, kanske ändå ;-)). Min första seriösa bloggpostning. Det vill säga en skrivelse som praktiskt taget ingen bryr sig ett dyft om. Det är ett obevisat faktum att 90% av allt som skrivs i blogga ...

Search for "faktum" (shown in the same text above) gives result:
... taget ingen bryr sig ett dyft om. Det är ett obevisat faktum att 90% av allt som skrivs i bloggar världen över inte ...

This is fixed in D6. Leaving active for D5.

Actually, someone else just reported this issue in Drupal 6.15, so I'm going to close this issue as a duplicate of that more current issue.

I'm sorry, that issue is not a duplicate of this one. My mistake.

I have just re-verified that this is not an issue in Drupal 7, and someone else had marked it as not an issue in Drupal 6, so moving back to "open" in the D5 queue.
