Today my drag handles have mysteriously disappeared.
I no longer see drag-handles in areas such as Blocks, Content Types, Manage Fields, etc. Instead there is a new column called "Weight" with a numeric value. I can still control weight via this column, which I'm glad has kicked in, but I'd rather drag handles around.
- My website has been running for months with drag handles.
- Has been updated to recent core, and all module updates been fine for days.
- I didn't change themes or edit my theme. I've been using the same site theme for months, and my admin theme is Seven.
- I use Firefox 11, and have been using it all day just fine with drag handles.
- The drag handles WORK in IE8, but not Firefox.
- I see no JS errors reported in Firebug in Firefox, nor does IE8 report any JS errors.
- I've re-uploaded all .JS and .CSS files from my 'misc/' folder up to the server, as other people have done.
- I do not have any Devel/Developer type of modules installed.
- I'm not sure if Drupal updates jQuery automatically, but anyhow as far as I can tell there was no concidental jQuery update today (April 10, 2012).
- Closed and re-opened Firefox, dumped cache, no effect.
After all this, no success.
At the time of disappearance, I was primarily working in Views and Content Types. I have been setting up a gallery framework all day, using the following modules: Views, Draggable Views, EVA, References & Node Reference URL. In my View I have various display types. One of them is a draggable view table, with drag handles, for me to re-order a gallery. Another two display types were EVA Entity Content displays (sorted by drag weight), which allows me to attach it to gallery nodes and pass arguments and such. I had no problems with the entire system, everything worked for a good amount of time. Eventually the drag handles disappeared. At the time of disappearance I had 4-5 Firefox tabs open, one showing the Views editor, one with the draggable View, another with "Manage Display" for the gallery content type, another with admin Performance page open.

Cablestein commentedLooking at the Drupal event log, I see a few of these errors:
Location http://www.mywebsite.com/admin/structure/views/view/gallery/preview/enti...
Referrer http://www.mywebsite.com/admin/structure/views/view/gallery/edit/entity_...
Message Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$nid in draggableviews_handler_field_draggable->views_form() (line 137 of /home/torontoc/public_html/sites/all/modules/draggableviews/views/draggableviews_handler_field_draggable.inc).
Severity notice
This seems to come up when I try to load my draggable view plainly without passing an argument in the URL.

Cablestein commentedDisabling, then uninstalling the Draggable Views module seems to have no effect.

Cablestein commentedSlap me.
The 'Show row weights' link was toggled ON. Clicking it returned the drag handles.
Of course, it's a cookie thing, so that's why handles worked in other browsers.
I'm just happy my gallery works =).

shobhit_juyal commentedI am also running with the similar issue in my custom draggable form. I have properly checked with Show/Hide row weights but the draggable handle is still missing :(
No errors in console
The anchor tag of the handle is not generating and also the
Drupal version 8.9.2
Any suggestions ?

I found my answer in my own question, I actually putting the attributes directly to table instead of row. Putting it right showing the icon. thanks
