I upgraded my drupal 7.8 to drupal 7.9 and got these errors :-
* Notice: Undefined index: distribution_name in system_requirements() (line 39 of /home/****/public_html/v2/modules/system/system.install).
* Notice: Undefined index: version in system_requirements() (line 41 of /home/***/public_html/v2/modules/system/system.install).
Just searched through the issues but unable to find the fixed one.
Help needed!

bkmatwa commentedSimilar issue here. I did update from a Commerce Kick Start profile, didn't know if this was the problem or not? Here is what I get showing up on top of all my administrative pages:
Notice: Undefined index: name in system_requirements() (line 39 of /******/********/public_html/**/modules/system/system.install).
Notice: Undefined index: version in system_requirements() (line 41 of /******/********/public_html/**/modules/system/system.install).
Any suggestions on a fix?

Tokoh commentedSame issue.
Notice: Undefined index: name in system_requirements() (line 39 of /home/sfcomb/public_html/modules/system/system.install).
Notice: Undefined index: version in system_requirements() (line 41 of /home/sfcomb/public_html/modules/system/system.install).
I upgraded from current commerce kickstart.
When I installed commerce kickstart I copied the module files out of the profile folder into the sites folder as suggested.
When I upgraded I deleted all folders and files from my root folder except the sites folder then uploaded core 7.12, extracted and copied all files and folders into my root directory. I then applied the db update.
This means that the folder public_html/modules was from commerce kickstart and is now from core.

kdmarks commentedAlso receiving this error on an update from 7.10 to 7.12. The explanation in #5 makes sense. Is there are a fix?
Comment #7
SafariStan commentedI was having the same issue as I am not using the standard profile. $info = system_get_info('module', $profile); returned an empty array, hence the notices being thrown. All I did to get rid of the errors was add two simple lines of code (i know i know, don't modify the core). But this worked for me, this was added right before the $requirements['install_profile'] = array( ......
if (empty($info['name'])) { $info['name'] = ''; }
if (empty($info['version'])) { $info['version'] = ''; }

tim.plunkettI believe this is a duplicate of #1170362: Install profile is disabled for lots of different reasons and core doesn't allow for that
Comment #9
lenichols commented#7 worked fine! Not sure why there isn't a fix yet, however, the patch in #7 worked for my new update. THANKS.
Comment #10
geosmaga commented#7 is working fine for me too. Thanks SafariStan!

jeevaan commented#7 worked fine for me. Thanks so much Stan.

defconjuan commentedAs stated in #8 above, visit http://drupal.org/node/1170362. Specifically, see comments #121 and #123. #123 fixed it for me. I change the variable for installation profile to "standard" because the site I had the error on was based on an installation profile that may be problematic or otherwise no longer available.
