its really better to auto update all git versions of core/modules in the core without downloading drush.
much better combined with cron! always bleeding edge updates :) wow!

i think there is a bug or not handled properly, because versioning is blank when modules are downloaded in the git vs the downloaded ones.

@keichee: you need to stop opening "critical bugs" like that. I appreciate your enthusiasm, but we have a precise definition of what is a "bug" and what is "critical". See http://drupal.org/node/45111

In the meantime, this is a duplicate of #1013302: Composer metadata on dev versions doesn't work in update.php.
