I found that operations which use batch don't work on my site. So far I have two examples:

  1. l10_update - I click 'Update Translations' button, the url becomes batch?op=start&id=25, it says 'Updating translations' and that's it.
  2. Saving 'Taxonomy menu' settings with checked 'Select to rebuild the menu on submit'. The same, url is batch?op=start&id=25, message is 'Rebuilding Taxonomy Menu'. That's it. Menu is now gone :(

Sometimes I do get "Access Denied for Guest" message in my dblog, but not every time, so I'm not sure if it's related.

So, how batch is supposed to work? Why it is not working? Any advice?

This seems to be a theme issue. I have this issue with aquia_commons theme, also PushButton.

So now to perform an operation which requires batch update I have to switch to Garland, then after it's finished - switch back to my theme.

Any idea what should I check to fix the problem? Somebody suggested that print($script) or $closure may be missing, but I checked, both are present.

I have the same problem with a custom theme of mine as well - batch operations seem to work fine on other processes, but not this one. What I found is that if I refresh my page, it switches back to garland for me and then finishes the operation. I do not have to go in and manually switch themes and go back.

I must admit, it is an odd behavior - I'll try and figure out what my theme is doing here that is being a pain.
