I have created a block for the Search field and specified positioning it on the right side.

I see this block when I am logged in as administrator, but when I log off it disappears. The configuration for the block is the default.

Am I missing something? Shouldn't the Search field appear on every screen for every user?

You need to give the other usergroups permissions to see it first.
