I have been asked from a client to build a Drupal multisite with a common Database.
As far as I have seen Domain Access is doing the work for this.

The problem and my question is:

He wants to use three different servers.
One for the common database.
One for the default Drupal Instalation, he is going to use it as a content authoring server.
And one for the default domain name of the Site.

Namely, the domains for the default Drupal installation (authoring.net) and the affiliate site (example.com) will be hosted in different servers.

Is that possible to be achieved with the Domain access Module?

If you point both Drupal instances at the same database and they have the same codebase, then theoretically yes.
