This patch:
a) removes the field instance settings support that were added in the 3.x branch using support from the Field Formatter Settings module.
b) removes the configuration settings for the 'Normalise text newlines before diff display' setting that was added and simply does this to the long text field's body and summary fields automatically.
Missing update script and changes in changelog / readme are only partially complete.
