Hi all

Just started using this module. Really useful, thanks. Adding the option to 'Add an extra page link to each expanding menu item' was very inspired.

Could anyone give me a pointer as to how to slow down the slide speed and / or add jquery effects to it? The effects are not so important, but would be really useful if I could slow down the slide.

I've had a look in dhtml_menu.js, and at the animate commands, and the time ('1000') with it. However, adjustments to this do not make any difference, so I guess I'm not approaching this correctly.

Hi,

Unfortunately the stable D6 version doesn't yet provide an easy way to alter the animation speed (that's in an upcoming release). However, the JS-file change you made should have had the desired effect, as long as you changed all four occurrences of the "1000" number in the JS file, to make it work consistently. (Sorry that there is no constant for that).

If this didn't work, then you likely have a caching problem. Try disabling JS aggregation on your site, clearing the site's cache or your browser's cache.

Thanks for the response. Interesting.... will try that again. Have no caching turned on, but I didn't change all four '1000's at once.

EDIT: just tried changing all the 1000s to 5000s, and clicked 'flush cache' in admin menu (as I believe that does all of it, and still speed is same.

Am I missing something? Not sure exactly what js aggregation is.... will Google that.
