The Drupal England & Wales Association (DEW) was formed in 2020 with the following aims:
- Assist local groups in becoming more sustainably managed and avoid ‘burn out’ of key members;
- Promote Drupal in England and Wales;
- Promote ‘making’ over ‘taking’ to existing Drupal businesses;
- Organise collective efforts to promote local Drupal business;
- Promote Drupal as a career path, partner with local entities such as universities to develop Drupal talent;
- Increase both code and non-code contribution to the main Drupal project;
- Raise money and exposure to support existing events and groups;
- Provide ‘sign-posting’ for new Drupal users and talent (what groups they could join, who their local contacts are, what events are nearby, etc.)
