missing nid and vid in the json exported file

After updating Drupal core to 8.9 the export does not generate the `nid`and `vid`
Using the export UI the error logged:

User error: Invalid placeholder (0) in string: Exported @count entities of the "@entity_type" entity type. in Drupal\Component\Render\FormattableMarkup::placeholderFormat() (line 241 of /var/www/docroot/core/lib/Drupal/Component/Render/FormattableMarkup.php)

When using drush no error is thrown but the exported json is missing vid and nid.
