Would like to explore using postgresql as a source dataset and import into mysql.

Hi,

datasources can support whatever you can imagine AND code as a datasource.

But datasources is not a DAM layer. It's more like plugin input data stream into Drupal (data import).

If you have some specific data set in a postgres DB, you can create a new datasource with it, map it against drupal entities and ... voilà !

Creating a datasource is providing a PHP class that can feed single structured record with a functional key.
