The ad ops people recently started trying to traffic some Pointroll ads, which have been failing to load. I came across this post on the writeCapture project which describes my issue perfectly:
https://github.com/iamnoah/writeCapture/issues/30
It looks like the jQuery ajax cache busting needs to be turned off for Pointroll to accept the ad.
I am accomplishing this by adding:
jQuery.ajaxSetup({cache:true});
To line 24 of dart.js.
Given that this seems to only have an effect if you set it right before invoking writeCapture, I'm wondering if we could have an option to turn jQuery caching on/off in the DART module?
I'm not sure what the best implementation would look like, but perhaps we can sort that out in here? A check box, just below "ord" in the global settings perhaps?

bleen commentedInteresting ... I'm not sure what else this might effect though. jQuery caching is not my forte. If it doesn't really effect anything else then we could simply always add it when a site is using writeCapture, but if it does effect other areas of the site I'd want to (at least) put a disclaimer next to a checkbox that toggles jquery caching.
Have you tried adding jQuery.ajaxSetup({cache:true}); and then jQuery.ajaxSetup({cache:false}); immediately after the writecapture call? Does that work?
Note: In general I will have a very tough time testing any of this as I have no pointroll ads to test with :)
