Sorry if this is a duplicate, but as this is a bug in the search feature, I couldn't search to see if it has already been reported. Also, I don't know if the search module is responsible for searching issue queues, but if not, I guess this will find its way to the proper place.
I have to say, this is a strange one... I was trying to search for "poll closed" in the issue queue for Advanced Forum, and got the dreaded WSOD. I then tried "poll", it worked. Then just "closed", WSOD again. So I then tried several variations... "clos" worked; "close" sometimes worked, sometimes got WSOD; "closes" worked. But "closed" always resulted in WSOD.

jhodgdonDuplicate of
#2136119: Text search on issue queues is slow and sometimes WSODs
and not an issue in Drupal Core anyway.

extexan commentedWell, as I said, I couldn't do a search for duplicates before I posted.
As for it not being an issue in Drupal core, one would naturally assume that, since Drupal.org is running D7, any issue with Drupal.org is a D7 issue, as is the case with any other site. Sorry for posting in the wrong place.

jhodgdonHey, no problem!
I'm sorry if I came across as ungrateful or angry or anything close to that in my earlier comment. I wasn't at all -- I had a huge list of issues to go through today after being away, and I was just trying to explain the changes I made to the issue. Again, apologies if I made you feel bad in any way. Moving issues around is a daily process and I myself often post issues that are duplicates or are assigned to the wrong projects. We always still appreciate that issues get reported.
For future reference, drupal.org uses the Solr project for searching (not Drupal Core's search module), and the Project Issue contrib module is what manages issues for d.o (and it uses Views for most of its search functionality). So yes, drupal.org uses Drupal 7 now, but that doesn't mean that every problem with drupal.org is a Drupal Core problem. :) And the central place to report problems with the new Drupal 7 drupal.org site is currently in this project ("Drupal.org D7 upgrade QA").

extexan commentedGot it. Thanks for the clarifications.
Is Solr the module that has the issue, or is it stable and ok to use in D7? I find the core search module not so reliable - that is, it doesn't always find posts in my forums - so I'm looking for an alternative.
