It seems like this module has been around for a while, at least 2 years, and other modules have been built using this as a dependency. Why is there only a 7.x-1.x-dev branch and no stable releases?

Please consider releasing stable, versioned branches so that changes to code can be tracked over time and to improve reliability.

Hi @zirafa,
Thanks for the interest. I've been working on a stable release, it hasn't been ignored. The first release I'm planning on will be an alpha release, and that will change pretty drastically how a d3 library integrates with views. It will then need some followup documentation and testing all around for all the sites out there using the module, and from there that will determine the timeline for an actual stable release.

I'll first be posting a patch though, and I'll put a link to it on the front page. Once I get enough feedback and testing I'll commit that an release the alpha version.
