Rather than putting the raw HTML in a block, I have wrote a module that takes in the different parameters from the Facebook output and then uses it to construct the Fan box. Users can adjust the width, height, amount of fans to show, stream and any other detail present in the raw HTML. Users can place the block anywhere on their page and have a fan box that fits to their liking.
I want to maintain and have this module added to Drupal because there is no standardized module to address this problem. Forum threads end in a third party site writing a module to get the job done. I currently host my module on my own site so users can take advantage of it. I have received a decent amount of downloads and felt it was appropriate to make it official. From what I have seen there is no other module that handles this solution.

sunThanks for your application.
Why can't you contribute this enhancement to the existing http://drupal.org/project/fb_social module instead?
