chrism2671 commentedAh. That module is very similar. Mine is a little bit more flexible, in allowing the admin to select whatever js they like, whether from Google or elsewhere, and any version, but I agree the concept is the same.
What would be the next step?

avpadernoboth the proposed modules has the same purpose; the possibility to load the jQuery file from another source can be added to the other module too, and it is a feature request that could be proposed for the other module.
In the case the other application would be accepted, your application would not be accepted; if the other application would not be accepted, then also your application would be accepted.

sreynen commented@chrism2671, if the other application does get approved, I suggest you open an issue under the new project requesting to be a co-maintainer, as you obviously have an interested in the project.
