chkumar commentedThis module will help those websites where a set of comics with various categories can be browsed online. Using this module the site Administrator can manage all the comics - Add, Edit,Delete,Upload them.

sunThanks for your application.
Can you explain why users should use a special module instead of the already existing Node, Image, Views, possibly Book, possibly CCK, and Menu modules to achieve the same (with less custom code) in a much more generic, re-usable, and customizable fashion?

chkumar commentedHi,
May I know what type of rework is required for my project. May I also know what is the procedure and when my module will be visible in the Drupal modules list.

chkumar commentedHi Sun,
By making this module available I feel any user who needs this functionality can do so by just downloading and installing it.
The other way using "existing Node, Image, Views, possibly Book, possibly CCK, and Menu modules" he has to depend again on a developer OR if he himself is a developer should spend some time developing the same.

Hemant

sunNot sure I understand. By using this/your module, users will not depend on you as developer? Recursion error. ;)

chkumar commentedThey need not depend on me, they can get it developed by anyone who can modify the functionality to suit their needs. But the volume of development will be reduced considerably.

sunDrupal is a modular system. To be of any use for other Drupal users, this proposed module would have to be made extensible and customizable. In the end, we would end up with a giant and unmaintainable fork of all modules listed above. Contrary to your statement, the amount of development work would exponentially increase to a point where it stops to make sense.
I'm not 100% sure what the overall goal and target of this module has been, but the list of existing modules related to "comics" may contain projects you would like to contribute to instead: http://drupal.org/project/modules?text=comic
Thanks for your understanding.

avpadernoI agree with sun; a module that duplicates code contained in Drupal core modules doesn't make the amount of code developed less, but it would increase the development work as every bug fixed in the core module should be fixed also in the other module.
