MGN commentedDoes this happen with all tokens? What kind of breadcrumb are you creating, and for what kind of page? Usually, if tokens are not replaced its because the correct context is not available. [term] should be used on a node page, or on view that returns node objects (for example).

james6848 commentedHi,
It's a Vocabulary breadcrumb, used in Image gallery pages where I want it in the form Home -> Gallery -> [Term]. I tested a simple Node breadcrumb on a normal node page, and the tokens seem to work OK for that. None seem to work for the Vocab one.
I've got it working without using tokens (using the options in Settings), but it'd be nice to use them.

deaconzero commentedI'm having the same problem. I'm trying to set up a breadcrumb in the path section. I enabled wildcard and the path I have set is store/*. In titles and paths i have [termpath-raw] and [title-raw] since I'm using pathauto. On all the pages it just shows the actual token, and they aren't being replaced. I've tried with other tokens as well, and that didn't work. Any help??

deaconzero commentedSorry, didn't know if I should switch it to Active to get seen again.
moochiku commentedsame exact problem here.

MGN commented@james6848, is this page a view, perhaps provided by the image module or one that you created yourself?
If its a view, try using a views type custom breadcrumb. That will properly process nodes returned by views so the node type tokens should work. I am doing this on one of my sites and it works fine.
@deaconzero and @moochiku, you need to consider what kind of content is located at the path you are trying to set the breadcrumb on. If it is a node (either a standard drupal node type like a page, story, etc.) or generated from (a view that returns node listings) then node type tokens could work. If the page is provided by a module (like forum pages, for example), then custom breadcrumbs might have trouble.

Anonymous (not verified) commentedI'm having similar issues, and I'm not sure whether it's my understanding of how to set them up (probably!). I'll give an example:
In one section of my site I have three panels:
/news (the main news section, page content type, displayed using the /node/%node panel when the url is 'news')
/news/all-news (displays list of news items, a panel on its' own as I'm using node hierarchy so it recognises it as a page)
/news/all-news/news-item-title (the news item itself, displayed using the /node/%node panel when the node type is 'news')
The /news and /news/all-news work fine, I've just set up two path breadcrumbs, but the news/all-news/* doesn't work, just displays the text of the token, not the news title or the node/[nid] in the URL.
I've tried using the node type breadcrumb for 'news' but it only displayed 'home'. The panels type breadcrumb only displays panels not displays within panels, so that's a bit hard to use when I have many displays on the /node/%node panel.
Not sure what to try next. I'm wondering whether I'm going to have to remove the breadcrumb from the panel and put it in the theme... don't really want to do that though so would prefer to get it working.
TIA

MGN commentedI think this has been addressed in another set of issues: #697674: Custom breadcrumbs taxonomy does not work with node views overwritten by panels (/node/%node)] and/or #820686: Panels stored 'In Code' not available for custom breadcrumb selection. Please try the latest code (6.x-2.x-dev) and reopen if this is still a problem.
Thanks.

jdwfly commentedJust tried the latest code and it still is not working. I have tried both a path and node custom breadcrumb. For the path breadcrumb the breadcrumb displays like it should except the tokens do not get replaced. For the node breadcrumb, the breadcrumb shows up as the default home link.
This is a panel that overrides the node/nid paths.
augiem commentedSame issue as #10. Panel override taxonomy term page. NO replacement tokens or special identifiers work. Even using in the path shows up in the final URL as /
I think the Panel replacement part is what's bugged because tokens worked for me otherwise.

augiem commentedSorry I didn't see the advice to use the Dev version. I just tested latest Dev code and it is still broken.

mzwyssig commentedSubscribing. Same problem here with Custom Breadcrumbs for Paths 6.x-2.0-beta3.
I'm trying to create a simple breadcrumb like 'absolutepath/[title]' for everything that's in 'absolutepath/*' and it shows just '[title]' instead of 'mypage'.

MGN commentedI am closing this issue because it has branched into at least three distinct issues...and token handling is working as expected in the cases that I have been able to test.
If you have an issue with tokens, open a separate support request providing enough details for someone else to set it up and replicate the problem. Be sure to indicate exactly what are you using for titles and paths, what custom breadcrumb settings have you enabled, what custom breadcrumbs modules are you using, what are their relative weights, the type of page, and any other relevant details. Without this, I am afraid I won't be able to help much....
@mzwyssig, please be sure you are using the latest code 6.x-2.x-dev (See comment #9 above)
@jdfly, please open a new support request - your issue doesn't seem to be related to the original issue involving a vocabulary breadcrumb on image gallery pages. I've just tried to using custom breadcrumb paths breadcrumb (with and without wildcard) on a panels node/%node template and it seems to replace the node-type tokens just fine, as expected. If you are still having issues in the latest code, provide enough details for me to replicate the problem.
