Problem/Motivation

I just want to document this here for the case if that happens to others.

I have taxonomy page where no breadcrumbs are beeing set. The settings are correct. So i debugged the "custom_breadcrumbs_entity_view"

The function checks "if ($display->getComponent('breadcrumbs')) {"
For some reason that taxonomy page like /taxonomy/term1 has no breadcrumbs component set so this fails.
To check that i removed the if statement, then the breadcrumb is set.

Steps to reproduce

I still dont know why the breadcrumbs component is not set here. I am still trying to debug that and report back if i find something.
On another site that basically is a clone everything works fine.

The other(2nd) seutp works, but will also have an empty getComponent('breadcrumbs'): http://www.root.artwaves.de/sharex/14-11-21--16-44-29.jpg

But the 2nd triggersbuild functions and "applyContentEntityBreadcrumb" and so on.
I could not figure out yet where these are triggered an by what condition.

Isnt build() triggered by the hook_entity_view implementation of the module?

Went into the core breadcrumb function in SystemBreadcrumbBlock.php

  public function build() {
    return $this->breadcrumbManager->build($this->routeMatch)->toRenderable();
  }

The broken taxonomy page does not even trigger that. The problem must be deeper here.

I found the problem. It is again something in the radix theme. Haven´t figured out what by now, but will post it here soon.

Ok it has truned out that i had negated a condition(display content type) and that caused this weird behavior. Maybe helps someone someday.
