Multiple contacts for case with contact type distinction

Problem/Motivation

I am currently researching the prospects of a drupal based CRM with clients and other correspondents and this module shows great possibilities to build on.

Currently the case as a single contact and it could be useful to define multiple contacts in the case along with contact type and and ability for additional contact details for the specific case.

So instead of a direct entity reference, it would be a multi-value field that has the following subfields:

Options: client/opponent/expert/billing etc
Entity reference: contact id
(can be for all but mostly) for organisations: Contact name (specific to file and not to contact, number and email fields.

Is this something that would fit into the plans for this module or something that should remain external/custom?
