I have a question, but also wanted to let you know how I've been using your modules lately.
I'm actually no longer using it to setup menus for nodes at all, just using it for its ability to clone a tag and pass it to a content type. I'm using the custom links module with this type of link http://homepage.net/node/add/photo/crc/[nid] so that I'm able to use tokens.
One thing I need to do, since I've moved to a direct link workflow (so as not to have that inbetween page for my users), is remove the tab from the top of most pages which reads "create related content".
But my question is, is there any way you can think of to prevent a user from being able to use a link like http://homepage.net/node/add/photo/crc or http://homepage.net/node/add/photo as I'd like to make this somewhat tamper proof by forcing them to use a crc link that has an nid associated? As it is, they can delete the nid and then add content and it'll fall into the root of my taxonomy structure, instead of where I'd want them to.
I know, crazy question.

Trunkhorn commentedAnd I forgot to mention that I've cracked open taxiselect this morning and was blown away. What a superb module!

alan d. commentedGuessing that a simple disable didn't work?
The only way that I know of disabling a menu item is to either override things programmatically or to use a menu access module. One other way is to grab the menu arguments and check these. This should be done as early as possible, but can be done as late as in a themed node_add_form callback template.
If you get the new version working, you can change the above URL to match a predefined template based URL:
node/add/[node type]/crc-preset/[preset id]
See @http://drupal.org/node/437208#comment-1505564 for some brief details about this new link
Note, to check for numeric arguments, you need two steps.
I like the taxiselect module, it works really well, but I still haven't had a chance to use it in a live site. Reopen if you need some more help.
