Would be a "nice to have" feature for Entity Reference support here. I noticed on this tutorial there is baked in support for node reference.

However, the References project seems to have been mostly abandoned and many have been using Entity reference for some time.

I lost long hours on trying to find where is the problem in my new fresh project,
then finally I discovered that this feature was made only for node reference fields where I don't use references in my new D7 projects, I use only entity reference coz it will be in Drupal 8 core, as I heared.

so we would like to know that if there will be ER adoption for this feature or not? and when if yes.

7.x dev has entity reference support, but there are some limitations. See if it solves your issue and if so, please mark this fixed.

I'm not getting the same option as seen in the pic above. I've just updated all the modules to the latest versions, and using the latest dev version of CA.
