If you're using ContentDM's hosted service, there are 2 changes you must make to your ContentDM module's API settings. (ContentDM Configuration > General).

1. The web services base URL must now use https://.
2. The default port number (:81) must not be used.

These changes occurred in May 2013, but didn't propagate to my site until a few days ago (when I started getting all sorts of error messages and all my collections went down). I usually keep up with all the OCLC/ContentDM updates, but this one slipped by.

Our web services base URL was http://cdm16101.contentdm.oclc.org. In addition to the two changes listed above, we needed to change our base URL to https://server16101.contentdm.oclc.org, replacing the `cdm` prefix to `server`. OCLC has been made aware of this issue and is reviewing their documentation on http://www.contentdm.org/help6/custom/customize2a.asp
